If you have a question about the boards, and it's not answered in the FAQs Forum, please post it here.

Be sure to check the FAQ Forum first, as many questions about getting started on the boards, (how to choose your avatar, what Karma Points are, etc.) are already answered there.

Umm...this is the first minutes of me being a member, and I'm just a bit confused ^^ What's the difference between a Reply and a Quick Reply?

In some posts, I've noticed a red symbol - you know, the circle with a slash through it. What does this mean?

Also, as a separate question... it says that we are not allowed to add links to other websites. But will we be allowed to do this in our signatures? Or, alternately, can we make a thread about a site in the Off-Topic part, with or without a link? For example, many members on here are going to be members of the largest Warriors fansite, Warrior's Wish, and we want to talk about it or at least put something about it in our signatures.

If we post a question on "Ask Erin," do we get notifications if anyone has replied?

Doublestar, about the chats...
Once every few months, the four Erins get online to do a webchat with fans at a site called Wands and Worlds. So far they have done six chats.
You must be a member of the site to join in on one. Membership is $8.
Transcripts of the previous chats can be found here.

I've been a member of many forums over the years and usually there are one or two moderators who were given their extra privileges in reward for dedication to the forum and helping less experienced users. Are helpful users rewarded in some way on this forum?

The standard reply includes the formatting options, so you can change the font color, add smileys, etc. The Quick Reply doesn't have any formatting options.
