The sun was rising above the hill top. Sadness filled Dove's Wing. She and her brother, Jay's Wing had watched the sun rise and fall all the time together. Jay's Wing had been gone for 2 sunrises. He had entered the tunnels to become a sharpclaw, but unlike Fallen Leaves, who had never returned from the tunnels when he had been chosen to become a sharpclaw, will Jay's Wing find his way back? "'Morning, Dove's Wing." Dove's Wing wipped her head around and saw a pretty black furred she-cat with white splotches and beautiful blue eyes. "Hi, Night Star. How are you?" The she-cat sighed, "I think I'm on my last legs. I'm not fit enough to hunt for myself, so it is time I think I shall die." "No!" Yelled Dove's Wing, "I'll go catch you the biggest squirrel in the forest." Dove's Wing turned around and dashed into the forest. Avoiding the direction of the roaring monsters, she headed towards the more thick pine lands, near where the twoleg nest was. Pushing her body down, she tried to smell any distant senses of prey. Smelling the trace of a squirrel, she quickly followed the trail, until she came across a plump squirrel nibbling on a mouse. Perfect! Thought Dove's Wing. Keeping her tail down, her belly fur gently brushing on the pine needles, although avoiding noise, she sprang on the squirrel. With a quick nip, it's body turned limp. She picked it up and raced back to Night Star's den, the squirrel resting under her chin. "Here!" She gasped, placing down the squirrel outside her den. Silence. Rising Moon instead emergence from the den. "I'm sorry," She whispered, "She passed when you were hunting for her. She told me to tell you that she is so proud of you." Grief filled Dove's Wing. She had lost so many cats that were special to her, her mother, her brother and now her grandmother. Suddenly, the rustling of bushes broke Dove's Wing's thoughts. She turned around to see a dark gray tom emerge from the tunnel. "Jay's Wing? Jay's Wing, is that you?"

Scarstar, I know that Jay's Wing wasn't really Dove's Wing's brother, but she didn't know that. And I clearly said 'but unlike Fallen Leaves, who had never returned from the tunnels when he had been chosen to become a sharpclaw.' Stating that Fallen Leaves hadn't returned. So please think before you reply?

Maybe this was before Jay's wing (Jayfeather) came out of the tunnel In the book it did say he came out later than expected when becomeing a sharpclaw.
