I have notice that. About Lusa being all black was quite hidden so it's would be easy for the artist to miss.

There was also the thing that Lusa said that the white bears were x3 her mom's size- but her and err... Kallik are the same size on the cover.

Black bears do have a brown muzzle anyway.
And maybe Kallik is just really small? idk. x) Either that or the illustrator missed it in the book.

I found a picture of one without a black muzzle.. but since I don't own the picture I can't post it. -sigh-

Most black bears have brown muzzles. I think it ment that her body was all black without any other color on it.
