Posted 28 September 2009 06:40 PM I know many people are disappointed about the Warriors Game; mostly because they expected a different type of game play. But this particular game might be interesting-- HarperCollins has set up a D&D-style game with specific rules and story-lines. What the game depends on is imagination (which I think we all have here! ^^)
One of the big dilemmas people seem to be having is who they're going to play the game with. Many of us don't have friends outside the net who read Warriors.
If you are interested in trying the game out, a league set-up could help with organization. My website (warriorswish.net) will likely be setting one up, and everyone will be welcome on it. As well, if you like the idea of writing your own adventures for the game, we could also begin a catalog of fan-written chapters.
You can play the game online by text; but what is much more fun is playing via SKYPE. Which is a free program that allows users (much like Messengers like MSN or AIM) to communicate via text, but skype also allows for microphone chats, which makes conversations and gameplay much more dynamic. You should always check with your parents before downloading any new software to a computer.
If you don't want to download Skype, there are other online (non-download) applications that can be used, which will probably feature in Ww's league version.
I hope this idea has made some sense to anyone interested, please post further ideas or questions here.

That's a good idea. I love Warriorswish.net. It is really cool. People say that .net is idiotic. I like .net. I'm going onto Warriorswish.net right now!
Boneclaw, I don't like the game either, but you don't see me getting nasty about it, do you? Cool, Warriorswish.net is neat- kudos to you for creating it! As for the league... hmm... might try it, though Skype or anything else that downloads for me isn't an option, because while I rather dislike the game, and think the gameplay looks pathetically watered-down compared to other RPGs, I'm still willing to give it a shot if there's a group being set up. Don't knock it till you try it, in a sense...
